TORONTO — May xx, 2019 — Canadian indie outfit Pterodactyl Problems teams up with local drag artists to offer the Toronto live music scene a truly unique entertainment experience: ROCK’N ROLL IS A DRAG, in a series of Sunday night shows at The Joint.

This musically-charged cabaret combines Pterodactyl Problems’ notoriously hard-hitting rock and electric stage presence with Toronto’s most dynamic drag artists to create truly a new entertainment experience. The group’s gender-bending hard rock — with its mix of heavy metal, dynamite drag, and a dash of goth glam for good measure — works beautifully with full-on drag performances.

“Rock music and drag are a really good combination,” says Pterodactyl Problems’ lead singer Davey White. “The music is so emotive and intense, and we all bring the same energy to the stage… It becomes a whirlwind of ‘fuck yea.’”

The show features a revolving roster of the area’s most prolific drag artists, as well as tracks from Pterodactyl Problems’ newest release, Esoteric Hobbies. “It’s probably the best musical project we’ve been a part of, and definitely the most collaborative,” says White. The line up also includes a guest rock/punk band and ends with DJ to round out this amazing cabaret-style evening.

ROCK’N ROLL IS A DRAG explodes onstage every Sunday from now until July 28th at 9:00pm at The Joint, 55 Colborne St. Doors open 8:00 pm.
